Self Driving Cars Without Steering Wheels Planned By Google

Cars can now drive themselves if Google’s project in building their self driving car is a huge success.

The company is planning to build about 100 of these two seat autonomous cars, that operate without a driver at the wheel.

There would be no gas and brake pedals but these cars can only make use of sensors and computing power, with no for a human aid.

In 2015, Google hopes that 100 of these two-seaters will be on the roads for extensive testing.

However, these cars are not going to be for sale and would be provided to select operators for further tweaking and have limitations such as a 40-kilometre-per-hour top speed.

This announcement is presenting a challenge to makers of automobiles who have always dreamt of cars that would drive themselves.

It should be known that some other companies are working on this project but Google is the biggest of these companies.

To date, Google has driven hundreds of thousands of miles on public roads and freeways in Lexus SUVs and Toyota Priuses outfitted with special sensors and cameras.

But with a “safety driver” in the front seat, those vehicles were not truly self-driving.
